Queen Camilla recently announced her absence from all public appearances for the rest of the week as she continues to battle an infection that renders her temporarily "unwell."

According to the BBC, the beloved royal's doctors have advised her to step away from the public eye in an effort to heal from the sickness that plagues her. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace detailed her condition to the outlet, citing infection specifics and when she is expected to return to duties.

"Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest. With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal."

News of the Queen's temporarily declining health arrives less than a week after she and King Charles' returned from their trip to Samoa and Australia. Per the BBC, the 77-year-old is expected to miss the annual opening of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday (November 7), and will be replaced by the Duchess of Gloucester.

Queen Camilla is expected to make a swift return to Remembrance events this weekend should her recovery go smoothly.
