Queen Camilla is currently healing from a chest infection and unveiled new details about her condition during a reception for The Booker Prize Foundation at her London home on Tuesday (November 12).
According to Page Six, the beloved royal spoke to the crowd at the event, assuring that she was slowly but surely getting better.
"I'm obviously getting much better, bit of sort of coughing going on."
Videos obtained by Daily Mail show the Queen speaking to Booker Prize reception guests stating:
"I'm on the mend, these things always take a bit of time to get rid of. You think you got rid of it, they just sort of hang on for a bit."
Just last week, Buckingham Palace revealed that Queen Camilla was under the weather following a recent trip to Samoa with King Charles III, and that she planned to wipe her calendar until further notice.
"Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest. With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal."
The Queen did not end up making it to any Remembrance Day events and was replaced by the Duchess of Gloucester. She also had to cancel her attendance at the Gladiator II premiere on Wednesday (November 13).
