Will.i.am, and apl.de.ap formed the Black Eyed Peas with Taboo in 1995. Fergie joined the group in 2002 and appeared on the breakthrough hit "Where Is The Love?" The song was the lead single for the group's third LP, Elephunk. , followed by other hits like "Shut Up," "Hey Mama" and "Let's Get It Started." The group had a solid run with Fergie and dropped other popular albums like Monkey Business (2005), The E.N.D. (2009) and The Beginning (2010).

Fergie's tenure with the group lasted until 2017. Will.i.am originally denied rumors that she was leaving the group, and claimed she was only taking a break to focus on her second solo album, Double Dutchess. He later confirmed that she left the group in an interview. The group continued to tour and release music without Fergie, and even added a new singer J. Rey Soul.

There's no word on whether Fergie would reunite with her brothers in the studio. The group released three albums after the "Fergalicious" singer left. Fans will have to wait and see if the OG crew will make new music together.
