According to reports, 17 high school students and 1 teacher at Merrol Hyde Magnet School in Hendersonville were transported to the hospital after an explosion in a classroom lab. The students and teacher are being treated for different degrees of burns after an experiment that involved chemicals exploded.
At this time it is not known what the chemicals were, but none of the injuries are life threatening!
