One of my all-time favorite movies of Robin Williams was Mrs. Doubtfire. In fact, before his death, Williams almost took on the role again for a sequel which was scrapped. I was actually pretty pumped at seeing a sequel!
Now it appears that Mrs. Doubtfire will be brought back to life via a new Broadway musical! According to Entertainment Weekly, theater producer Kevin McCollum says:
“Mrs. Doubtfire is such a beloved story, both laugh-out-loud hilarious and extremely moving. Getting this team together and crafting Mrs. Doubtfire for the stage has been pure joy. We can’t wait to get into production.”
After reading that, it sounds like this is going to happen! Not sure how I would feel about it being a musical, but regardless you can count me in for this one!
