FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc, each has their own shipping deadlines and those all vary, For UPS, the very last day to ship will be December 21st. For the US postal service, you're going to want to ship no later than December 20th for first class. This includes holiday cards.
According to Consumer Reports, they say that you should really start placing your orders very soon, but make sure it's before December 18th, because after there your gift will not be making it by Christmas, UNLESS you pay a good chunk of money to get it there on time!
