Did 'The Simpsons' predict a pandemic and killer insects back in 1993?

It looks as if The Simpsons have continued their streak of predicting the future!

It appears that an episode from 1993 appears to foreshadow 2020 with the pandemic and “murder hornets.”

The episode called “Marge in Chains” features a sick Asian worker sneezing on a shipment of juicers that many of the residents of Springfield wish to purchase, which kicks off an “Osaka Flu” outbreak. Then in that episode, people begin to panic, they knock over a truck they think has the cure, but instead destroy a crate marked “Killer Bees” which then swarm out!

I don't know about you, but I'm going to be watching every season of The Simpsons this weekend on Disney Plus to see if there is anything else I've missed!
