Facebook

Looks like another BIG company is setting up shop in Tennessee. Construction is underway on an $800 million Facebook data center in Gallatin that will take up to three years to build and cover nearly 1 million square feet.

The new center will create 100 high-paying jobs and will be supported by two new solar energy projects in South and West Tennessee according to Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg. The new center in Gallatin will be Facebook's 13th data center in America and the 17th worldwide.

The new data center will be next to Beretta USA's firearms plant, a Gap distribution center, SERVPRO, and American Colors paint manufacturer. Not only will it create 100 high-paying jobs, it will employ about 1,500 people during construction.
