Vanderbilt's Sarah Fuller ready to become first female SEC football player

Growing up, in our house we'd always cheer on Vanderbilt sports. Of course the football team has seen it's ups and downs this season, but all eyes are on the Commodores this Saturday as they make history! Vanderbilt women's soccer player Sarah Fuller will be in uniform as a kicker for the Commodores take on Missouri Saturday. If Fuller takes the field on Saturday, she would be the first woman to play in an SEC football came.

Vanderbilt football coach Derek Mason said during a teleconference, "Fuller is an option. We are keeping all our options open right now. We'll get a chance to see what she can do on Saturday, if given the opportunity."

Vanderbilt spokesperson Alan George confirmed that Fuller boarded the team plane from Nashville to Columbia, Missouri, and was added to the football roster on Vanderbilt's official website. Fuller is one of a limited number of specialists that are available for the game Saturday because of COVID-19. One cool thing is the back of Fuller's helmet will read "Play Like a Girl."
