Actor George Segal, best known for Just Shoot Me! andThe Goldbergs in recent years, died Tuesday in Santa Rosa, California. He was 87.
In a statement, his wife, Sonia, said, “The family is devastated to announce that this morning George Segal passed away due to complications from bypass surgery.”
Segal was nominated for an Oscar for 1966's Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? He had been a series regular on ABC’sThe Goldbergs. The last episode he filmed before his death will air on April 7th. According to Deadline, the series is expected to pay tribute to him on-air.
