A pitbull survived 1,000 bee stings and just found a new home

As a dog lover and an owner of a rescued pitbull mix, stories like this make me feel every emotion from sad to angry to hopeful.

The dog pictured above is Stinger.  He's a beautiful pitbull that was dropped off at the vet by his owners after he suffered over 1,000 bee stings.  He was also severely underweight and had scabies, but apparently the bee stings were the "final straw" for the owners, who never came back for him.

Thankfully, a rescue organization called LuvNPups heard Stinger's story and came to the rescue.

The founder of the rescue, Carri, took a special interest in Stinger and made sure he got all the care he needed for a full recovery.  And it wasn't easy.  It took several medicine changes and plenty of TLC to see any signs of progress

Over time, Stinger started to really show signs of recovery and the rescue shared some ADORABLE pics of the puppy that was underneath all those horrible stings

And, to top it all off, he found his forever home!! He'll have to be on medication for the rest of his life because of some other issues that were uncovered, but he is alive and happy as can be!
