Read This Letter From a Family Giving Up Their Dog and TRY Not to Cry

The Humane Society of Utah just took in a boxer named Rhino (LOOK AT THAT FACE) that had to be given up by his family.  First of all, let me say that I'm a firm believer that once you adopt a pet, that is your pet for life no matter what, but I'm not here to pass judgment on what I'm sure was a very difficult decision.

The family that had adopted Rhino six months earlier had small children, and it turned out that a big, energetic dog that kept knocking over their kids just wasn't the right fit for their family.

So, they gave him up...but when they did, Rhino came with this adorable (albeit heartbreaking) note from one of their kids.

The whole letter reads (with spelling corrected):

Hi, if you are reading this you must own Rhino now.  He was my puppy. I really hope he is in a good environment.  I really miss him. I wish he knew that he was a pretty puppy. Rhino is a good dog and he loves cuddles.  Just don't tease him with treats. He will start to bark like crazy, then you have to just try and calm him.  Any tennis balls he rips those apart in one day.  But if you get him a green NERF ball he can't tear that apart.  His full name is Rhino Lightning then your last name.  Please don't rename him. Rhino is a very energetic puppy.  He is a very amazing puppy.  Rhino needs lots of attention. He loves people. He likes sleeping under the blankets. Rhino also hates kennels and sometimes he gets really happy and runs around you

Here's hoping Rhino finds a good home soon!!
