It's no secret that Nashville has Preds fever...in fact, our Predators' unlikely Stanley Cup Finals run has captured the attention of the entire nation and has even made its way to Africa.
But there's one under-the-radar Twitter account that is suddenly getting a ton of attention...and it's that of Captain Ryan Ellis. No, not #4 - the bearded defenseman for the Preds. This is a Parody Twitter account run, according to WSMV Channel 4, by a big Preds fan (that doesn't live in Nashville) named Charles Chessnut.
The tweets are written as if they were letters from a Civil War solider to his mother back home. And they are UH-mazing. Like this one that followed last night's Game 4 victory.
This one went out right after Calle Jarnkrok and the Penguins' Sidney Crosby exchanged goals in a short period of time last night.

And even showing his support in the midst of less inspiring circumstances, like the Preds' Game 2 loss...
Preds fans all around the country have caught on to the account, and are joining in on the fun in full force.
Even in the heated throes of battle, however, Captain Ellis isn't afraid to stoop to throwing a little shade.
