Following one of the deadliest school shootings in history, Middle Tennessee schools are taking precautionary measures.
Williamson County Schools will be CLOSED on Monday, February 19th, for the system to evaluate their current safety plans and make any changes they perceive as necessary.
WCS spokesperson Carol Birdsong says "While we have comprehensive safety plans in place, Dr. Looney has mandated that all plans be revisited, reviewed and reinforced immediately with all WCS personnel and law enforcement. All WCS faculty and staff as well as the SROs serving our buildings will participate in this review."

Yesterday, a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school opened fire at the school, killing 17 and injuring 14 others. Nikolas Cruz confessed to being the gunman in a Broward County courtroom earlier today.
