There have been lots of reports of Amazon Echo devices randomly laughing - unprovoked - in the middle of the day.
Lying in bed about to fall asleep when Alexa on my Amazon Echo Dot lets out a very loud and creepy laugh... there’s a good chance I get murdered tonight.— Gavin Hightower (@GavinHightower) February 26, 2018
WHY DID MY ALEXA JUST LAUGH OUT OF THE BLUE?!?!?!?— Kyle Fitzy Shanklin (@kylefitzy8) March 4, 2018
Amazon says it's a bug they're aware of and working on. And as creepy as that is, I HAVE IT BEAT.
For Christmas, my Dad bought our now 18-month old son a "Love 2 Learn Elmo", which is supposed to be a really cool teaching tool for stuff like shapes, colors, numbers, and animals.
However, our Elmo comes with a catch. IT RANDOMLY LAUGHS IN THE MIDDLE OF SENTENCES.
Guys, my kids Elmo toy is randomly laughing mid-sentence. Is it a) defective and needs to be replaced or b) haunted and I need a priest? pic.twitter.com/XwQQCRSXma— Jonathan @ The River (@JonathanOn1075) March 7, 2018
So, moral of the story. EVERYTHING ELECTRONIC IS LAUGHING AT YOU AND NO ONE IS SAFE.
Also, dear Playskool...help a friend out and tell me what demon has possessed my kid's toy?
