Former TRL host and current Today contributor Carson Daly had a very real conversation about mental health and anxiety, and revealed some hard truths about what it's like going through every day feeling anxious or nervous.
In a produced piece for Today, Daly says "At times, I feel like there's a sabretooth tiger RIGHT HERE, and it's going to kill me, attack me, bite my head off". On the other hand, he says he wears his anxiety now as a badge of honor and as a part of who he is.
With mental health more and more in the spotlight following the February 14th mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Reaction to Carson's story from both his counterparts at NBC and the rest of the world has one of overwhelming support.
Thank you @CarsonDaly for sharing your story! You gave my 7-year-old hope today. He also battles anxiety and loves watching you on the @NBCTheVoice and @TODAYshow. So when I shared your story with him this morning his face lit up. He has a new role model.— Brittany Carmichael (@CarmichaelBritt) March 12, 2018

Kudos to Carson for using his platform to let people know that it's okay to not feel right, and that there IS help that you shouldn't be ashamed to ask for.
