A Nashville icon is opening up a new location in Williamson County.
Elliston Place Soda Shop, a staple in Music City since it opened in 1939, announced that they're opening up a new location in Cool Springs, hopefully by this summer.
Known for it's southern-style cooking and UH-MAZ-ING milkshakes, Elliston Place Soda Shop was originally a grocery store in the early 1900s. It transitioned to a pharmacy in the '20s, and part of the pharmacy was turned into a soda shop in the late 1930s.
It's on the National Register of Historic Places and mentioned in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die
The new location will be at 330 Mayfield Drive, right next to the Puffy Muffin.
