On what would have been Mr. Rogers' 90th birthday, the trailer has been revealed for the limited-release movie about his life, Won't You Be My Neighbor
For 33 years Mr. Rogers helped children navigate the trials and tribulations of growing up.
He was unafraid to tackle social issues like war, racism, divorce, and bullying. He helped saved PBS in a Congressional hearing. And most importantly, he was an integral part of the social education of millions of kids just like myself that grew up in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
Go ahead. TRY to watch that trailer without getting a little emotional.
The movie is out June 8th in select theaters, but no word yet as to which theaters in Middle Tennessee will air the film.
