Expect traffic to be rough downtown on Tuesday, May 29th, but not because of a hangover from the holiday weekend.
President Donald Trump returns to Nashville that day to hold a rally for Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn (currently in the House of Representatives). Blackburn is vying for the Senate seat being vacated by the retiring Bob Corker, and she's going up against former Governor Phil Bredesen.
The rally will be held at Nashville Municipal Auditorium, and from past experience we know that much of the area around the auditorium will be closed for several hours, along with the Interstate travel routes of the President and his security entourage.
No further details are available at this time, but if you live or work downtown prepare for some difficulty getting around in just a few days.
