Police in a small town in Utah say an accident was caused by a 17-year old attempting to drive while doing the Bird Box Challenge.
The viral trend took off after the movie Bird Box was streamed over 40 million times over the holidays on Netflix. The challenge is for people to do everyday tasks while blindfolded.
But. because we can't have nice things, people took the challenge way too far and started doing REALLY stupid stuff...so much so that Netflix had to tweet out a warning.
It turns out, though, that not everybody listened to common sense, and a 17-year old in Layton, Utah decided to get behind the wheel of a car blindfolded.
Predictably, it did not end well.
Thankfully no one was injured in the accident, but guys...come on. Stop doing dumb stuff. Don't drive blindfolded
