Demetra Nyx is a sex coach in California...and she's made it her mission to end the negative stigma associated with a woman's period.
And to do that?
Well, she's spreading her own blood on her face and posting on Instagram.
No, really.
Demetra grew up in a small town in Pennsylvania being ashamed of her period and told that it was something to keep private.
Her goal is to help a new generation of young women learn that it's a normal part of being a woman and something that they should be proud of.
"I will do this every month until people are no longer shocked by it. I will do it until little girls stop being taught that the natural functions of their bodies are disgusting and unclean."
She's kept her word, and has continued posting similar pics in the name of making a point.
Naturally, a lot of people are a little confused by her message, but I'm of the mindset that as long as you're not hurting other people...you do you.
