Hand washing has never been so in style, but it's probably not that effective of a germ killer if you're not using actual soap.
A woman on Reddit shared that she had been washing her hands for several days with what she assumed was a bar of soap. She couldn't figure out why it wasn't lathering, but thought maybe it was just the brand she had found.
Turns out, she was trying to wash her hands with an old block of cheese the whole time.
Although there's really no excuse, I'll defend her a LITTLE bit by saying that the below is a picture of a block of organic soap.
It DOES kind of look like a block of cheese, so I understand accidentally trying to use it once.
