Dolly Parton Will Read To Your Kids

In case you weren't aware, Dolly Parton is a national treasure and should be the official state celebrity of Tennessee.

She's not only a legendary performer and writer, feminist revolutionary, and TV star, but she's done an enormous amount of good for both her hometown of Pigeon Forge AND for us here in Nashville.

One of her most underrated accomplishments, however, is her role as the founder of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which every child born in Tennessee qualifies for. From birth until the age of 5, every child receives a free book per month - in the mail - to help mold the minds of our kids.

So it's no surprise that in these unprecedented times, Dolly is here to help again.

Starting this Thursday, and every Thursday until this COVID-19 thing is over, Dolly is going to Facebook Live for "Goodnight With Dolly," where she'll read stories from the Imagination Library at 7pm to help us get our kids to sleep.

Maybe she'll even treat us to her latest book I Am A Rainbow, which is one of my 3-year old's favorites!

Just go and like this page and set yourself up for notifications so you can have Dolly read to your little ones!
