As a parent who has been racking his brain for months coming up with ways to entertain a toddler in quarantine, I'm a little mad at myself for not thinking of this first.
TikTok user @elleannachristine came up with a brilliant hack for making play sand for your little one out of Cheerios!
It's so easy!! Literally you just grind up Cheerios into a fine dust, and it looks exactly like sand. And the best part is, if your kid eats the sand, it's fine!
Now, from the looks of it, it'll take a LOT of Cheerios to make a substantial amount of play sand, but you could probably make a pretty sizable little sand pit with 5 or 6 boxes.
Playtime for days, right?
