Nashville Christmas Parade Cancelled; Will Instead Be One-Hour Virtual Show

The Nashville Christmas Parade has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It's a sad day, but one you had to know was coming due to the uncertainty of large events going forward.

It's the 93rd year of the parade, which supports Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Instead of a parade this year, there will be a one-hour virtual show with performances and highlights of parades in past years. There will be no grand marshal, but instead frontline workers will be honored. Santa Claus is also expected to deliver a special message, and there may be special performers announced at a later date.

Who else is going to miss waking up early on the first Saturday of December this year!?!?
