Some things probably shouldn't be made into a movie. Clifford the Big Red Dog is one of those things.

I loved the Clifford the Big Red Dog books as a kid. Most of us did, right? It was an adorable concept chock full of wonderful life lessons.
So, OBVIOUSLY it made sense for Hollywood to turn Clifford into a movie. And I wasn't really against the concept. But seeing the trailer today?
Oh....oh, my.
My hatred of this movie trailer has nothing to do with the movie concept itself. Clifford's size depends on how much the little girl loves him...super cute, right? And puppy Clifford is bizarre looking, but still cute and lovable.
Big Clifford?
I'm sorry, but it's mildly terrifying. It's like King Kong got into tub of red velvet frosting, and is now running around terrorizing the neighborhood.
The movie itself ACTUALLY looks like a good family movie, and they're donating money to the Best Friends Animal Society for every like or share of the trailer.
But oh boy...I'm going to have live-action Clifford nightmares in my sleep tonight.
