Look Out! It's Baby Copperhead Season in Tennessee

Cooler temperatures in the coming weeks might mean more hiking, camping, and outside time in your future. But be aware when you're out and about that it's baby copperhead season in Tennessee!

While adult copperheads can reach 2-3 feet in length, babies are tiny and can be found in unexpected places. The good news if you run across one - copperheads in general aren't all that aggressive, and their venom isn't terribly potent. Still, if you see a baby copperhead it's likely that more are nearby, and if you happen to get bitten you should get to a doctor immediately.

Keep a look out!
