You Can Now Take an Emo Cruise To Mexico

Last week, you couldn't avoid hearing about Las Vegas's new When We Were Young Festival in October - three days consisting of the best emo bands ever assembled like Paramore, My Chemical Romance, AFI, Avril Lavigne, Taking Back Sunday, and more.

Well, it appears that the thirst for emo is stronger than ever, as a few of the bands on the festival have created another opportunity to bring your black eyeliner back out...the Emo's Not Dead cruise.

The cruise features Dashboard Confessional, Newfound Glory, Underoath, Plain White T's, Hawthorne Heights, Thursday, Silverstein, and the lead singer from Yellowcard, among others. It departs from Los Angeles on November 8th and cruises to Ensanada, Mexico.

Prices start at around $1,700 per room, although you can go super bougie with Penthouse suites priced at around $5,000. But what do you get for your money? Well, not only do you obviously see live performances from all those emo bands, but you get several days on the Norwegian Jewel cruise liner, which has restaurants (many of which are free with your booking), spa experiences, sports courts, hot tubs, boutiques, a pool, and a casino. You'll also spend a day at the Mexican resort of Ensenada, where you can shop, eat, surf, hike, bike, or fish before cruising back towards Los Angeles.

I don't know that I'd do the whole festival thing, but an emo cruise?? Just tell me where to sign up!!
