If you head to Party Fowl in Donelson, you might be served by someone...or should we say something a little different. Due to staffing shortages, the restaurant is testing out a service robot for 90 days. Named "Nash", the robot is programmed by the kitchen staff to deliver food to the right table, where it's then set on the table by an actual human. The restaurant wants to be clear that they're not replacing human wait staff, but trying to assist employees and keep service as quick as possible.
Ultimately, Party Fowl says they'd need three robots to perform a full service, and for now they only have one, but if restaurants continue to struggle to consistently find staff, you could start seeing more of these service robots popping up around town.
