A new study finds that students who play music while studying are more likely to have a GPA above 3.2 (B average or higher).
While there's no "one" reason, many of those surveyed say music is therapeutic, and others say that listening helps them focus better and absorb information more. And nearly 4 out of 5 of those that listen while studying say that it makes it more "fun".
So is there one type of music that best does the trick?
31% say that they like listening to classical music while studying, possibly because there's no lyrics. R&B and country were tied for the second-most popular studying genre, followed by Rock, oldies, and gospel in the Top 5.
