The storms that took over the Middle Tennessee area on Tuesday morning left thousands of homes, businesses and even schools -- completely devastated.
Different members of the community have stepped up to offer help in cleaning up, donation locations, even monetary donations. AirBNB has hopped in the mix to offer free, temporary housing for those impacted by the recent tornado!
AirBNB, the short-term rental company, activated it Open Homes Program where it connects AirBNB hosts who are willing to provide FREE housing to displaced residents and even disaster relief workers!
The program began on Tuesday and will be available through March 24 serving ALL areas that were impacted. Benton, Davidson, Wilson, Putnam and Gibson counties are available for the program!
Kristen Berlacher, AirBNB's Head Of Causes For Open Homes stated:
“Our hearts go out to all those impacted by the tornado. Airbnb hosts in the Nashville area are showing their support and offering free, temporary housing to those in need and relief workers. As we continue to work with local agencies and disaster relief organizations on the ground to offer our support, we encourage hosts to open up their homes and those in need of housing to take advantage of our community’s generosity.”
