Gatlinburg SkyBridge Closes After The Glass Panel Cracked!

THIS is why we can't have nice things! Someone literally broke the glass on the SkyBridge in Gatlinburg!

The Gatlinburg Skylift Park's record breaking pedestrian suspension bridge, SkyBridge, has cracks in the upper layer of one of the bridges glass panels!

Gatlinburg Skylift Park shared the news and photo's on their Facebook page stating:

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park’s record-breaking pedestrian suspension bridge, SkyBridge, experienced cracks in the upper layer of one of the bridge’s glass panels at approximately 8:30 p.m. tonight. The attraction was closed following the incident which caused the damage and is expected to resume normal operations tomorrow (June 16, 2020).
A guest opting to not comply with posted rules of “no running, jumping, or bouncing” on the bridge, attempted a baseball-style slide across the glass and upon impact, a metal object on the guest’s clothing chipped the glass, resulting in noticeable cracks in the protective top layer of one glass panel.
