The FDA Has Issued A Warning About Cicadas

The cicadas are out and about. After 17 years living deep into the Earth's soil, the Brood X cicadas resurfaced to mate.

The massive insects have fully taken over certain areas of the country and can be found in swarms along trees and fields. Some people are totally freaked out by them *cough, cough... ME* and then there are some who have decided to eat them as a treat. Though I'm only slightly judging you for the willingness to eat the scariest thing I've seen in my life, I understand the appeal of trying something "different."

Whether you want to feast on a cicada or you've lost a bet, the FDA has warned that if you are allergic to shellfish then you should NOT eat a cicada. Turns out cicadas are related to shrimp and lobsters. Those weird creatures just got more strange.
