Bad news for American Airlines customers. The airline has announced hundreds of cancellations for flights from now until July 15.
Apparently they have a "labor shortage" and weren't ready for the abundance of people ready to fly so soon. (They also mentioned "unprecedented weather" as a third reason for continued cancellations.) The company estimates anywhere from 50 to 80 flight cancellations a day and plan to spread out the cancellations throughout the country so that no one area will be hit harder than the other.
So essentially they had ONE job... and they couldn't do it.
All parties who have cancelled flights have been notified or will be soon, according to American Airlines.
