Netflix Is Getting Into The Gaming Industry

Netflix is always at the top of their game when it comes to streaming shows and movies, but now they're looking to dominate another field.

They want to add gaming to their resume. To do so, they have hired former Facebook and Electronic Arts executive Mike Verdu who will be the new vice president of game development. He was part of creating games like Plants vs. Zombies 2 and The Sims Freeplay so he knows what he's doing.

The plan is to making gaming available alongside all the already existing content on Netflix, so you won't even have to go into a new app or website for it. Even better, the company doesn't plan to charge extra for the service.

Netflix is looking to add the gaming service to their platform sometime in 2022.
