Edisto Beach State Park's seat turtle patrol found a rare baby turtle with two heads.
The beach, located in South Carolina, has a specific group of people who volunteer to walk the beach from June to August looking loggerhead turtle nests so they can rope off the area to prevent destruction to the nest. It was on their trek last Saturday that they found the little guy.
The reason for two heads is most likely due to a genetic mutation and he isn't the first one found that way. Once they took a picture and made sure he was safe, they placed him back in the ocean where he belongs.
