PBS Show 'Arthur' Has Been Cancelled

The popular children's show "Arthur" will air its last season late next year. The show has been cancelled after 25 years on PBS, making it the longest-running children’s animated series in the history of American television.

"Arthur" aired in October of 1996 and is a show I, personally, grew up constantly watching. The show features Arthur the aardvark, along with his friends and family, and tackles positive lessons for children (and some for adults). The show has been known to take on very important social issues, most recently they made headlines in 2019 for an episode on same sex marriage.

Unfortunately, after many years of awards and touching the hearts of children across the country, it's time to say farewell to "Arthur." Here's to hoping there will be reruns for more years to come.
