Fortnite Is Banned From Apple's App Store Indefinitely

About a year ago Apple had banned Fortnite from their app store for allegedly not following their in-app purchase protocols.

Apple and Epic Games thought they had come to an agreement on terms to bring the game back to the platform. Turns out, that is not the case.

Epic's CEO, Tim Sweeney, took to Twitter to announce Fortnite will not be added to the app store until legal battles end between them and Apple.

"Apple lied. Apple spent a year telling the world, the court, and the press they’d 'welcome Epic’s return to the App Store if they agree to play by the same rules as everyone else'. Epic agreed, and now Apple has reneged in another abuse of its monopoly power over a billion users," he tweeted.

He continued to state that by Epic agreeing to play by Apple's rules, they were told they would be welcome with open arms, but then Apple went ahead and said they will be blacklisted until all legal battles are finished (which can be up to five years from now).

Sad news for gamers, who have been waiting to play their favorite game on their phones again. Hopefully it will all be resolved soon.
