HBO Max had major issues with their service that hit right before the start of the season 2 finale.
DownDetector said the issue started to spike at 8:55 p.m. ET, with error messages reading, “Can’t Connect. We’re having issues connecting to HBO Max right now. Please try again.” The issue reached its peak at 9:05 p.m. ET when there were over 52,000 complaints. By 9:20 p.m. ET there were some people still reporting problems with the service.
The company addressed the issue once it was fixed, but there's no saying how many people missed out on the start of the finale (or even the entire thing). This also isn't the first time they have experienced issues. This happened in 2021 during the finale of "Mare of Easttown."
They have yet to say how they'll fix the issue that continues to happen with their service and it looks as though it might be something we all just have to deal with, despite all the angry customers.
