Sony Walkman Is Back And Not The Way You Remember

Decades ago, the Sony Walkman was the most convenient way to listen to music on the go!

You popped your cassette into the portable music player and voila... music on the go. People used them at the gym and teenagers used them to listen to music without disrupting those around them. They were the precursor to the iPod.

Now they're back and they've changed... a lot.

Sony's new Walkman is touch screen and gold plated. This is the second version of the same type of Walkman that they've released. The new base 128GB model will run you $1,600, while a gold-plated 256GB model will set you back $3,200.

They're pretty much marketed for audiophiles since they are not compact and rather expensive for something that we already have attached to out phones.
