A security camera caught a man in Daytona Beach attempt to jump a drawbridge as it was lifting for boat passage.
It didn't work out very well for him, but better than it could have. His motorcycle skid out (probably due to the wet roads from the rain) and he fell off the bike onto the ground as the bridge was still lifting. Most people know how dangerous it is to try to attempt something like jumping a drawbridge on a motorcycle or in a car, but that must have slipped this man's mind.
Cops arrived shortly after his attempt where he told them he wasn’t trying to jump the bridge but instead "didn’t see the warning lights because he was trying to clear rain off his helmet shield."
Who knows if this is true since those warning lights are pretty bright and obnoxious for a reason.
