Looks like Apple is thinking about adding a camera to their smart watch... or, at least, they were thinking about it at some point.
The patent for the camera feature has recently been granted. According to the patent, the camera would be added to the crown along with a light emitter for low light situations. The patent also says there's a possibility of taking the watch off your wrist to take better pictures, since it's really easy to mess up a picture if your hand's in the way.
The patent was filed in 2019, so there's a possibility they've moved on from the idea. Though, there should be a new watch coming out this fall... so there's still some hope.
