YouTube Admits Fault For Removing Lofi Girl's Years Long Stream

Lofi Girl is a YouTube channel known for its livestreams of a looping animation of a girl studying at her desk listening to music through headphones. The music she's listening to are chill lofi beats for studying or relaxing.

The stream started February 20, 2020 and suddenly ended the other day. Ending the two years, four months, and 18 and a half days.

The reason YouTube took the stream down was due to copyright claims, which they have realized was a malicious plan to stop her stream. You see, YouTube has a reputation for doing this. They pull videos all the time, just due to reports that weren't properly sorted out.

Now they're saying the stream will be back up and running within the next 48 hours. Still a bummer though.
