Father of Abused Girls Lunges at Larry Nassar

If you're not familiar with the case, Larry Nassar is the former doctor of the USA Gymnastics team and Michigan State University who has been accused of sexual misconduct against dozens of girls in his care.

In today's court hearing in Eaton County, Michigan, the father of three young girls abused by Nassar asked the judge for a few minutes alone with him. When the judge denied his request, the distraught father ran towards Nassar before he was tackled to the ground by security officers.

The father was escorted out of the court room, which took a short break. Upon returning to the room, Judge Cunningham stated:

"I know it is hard, but I need to ask all of you to try and not react in any physical way...It is not appropriate. It does not show the right message. It actually just causes more pain and more discomfort, and certainly we have enough of that already in this courtroom as a result of the defendant's actions".
