There's been a lot of talk about Amazon in Nashville lately. Some good, some bad, but this one is definitely good! On Thursday, May 2nd, Amazon delivered $10,000 worth of supplies to Warner Arts Magnet Elementary School and Murrell School! The donation included books, pens, kindles, and more!
Its common knowledge that teachers tend to spend their own money on purchasing supplies for their classrooms and even some of their students. Amazon's donation was made in hopes that teachers wouldn't have to spend the money on the things they need, especially since several of their employees have students that attend the schools.
Amazon's Regional Director of Logistics, James Shively, said
"We're growing our operations presence here in Nashville with the addition of 5,000 jobs in the next couple of years, so we've got a big stake in this community and we're investing back into it."
