Gossip Girl Reboot to Air on HBO Max

Gossip Girl is the latest in a string of TV show reboots. According to Deadline, HBO Max will release ten 1-hour long episodes of the show. The reboot, much like the original, will be based on the Gossip Girl books written by Cecily von Ziegesar.

So what's the plot of the new series? Well, it picks up 8 years later and will feature a new lineup of New York private school teens experiencing the Gossip Girl's surveillance. The show will explore how social media has changed the game.

The original series creators, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, are on board to create the new series. There's no word yet on whether or not any of the original cast members will be involved. Considering how negatively he's spoken about the show and fame, its probably safe to say that Penn Badgley won't be returning, but who knows!

The streaming service, HBO Max, will launch in spring of 2020, but no word yet on when the series will be released.

That's all for now.
