A 14-year-old girl in China got sick suffering from debilitating constipation and extreme stomach pains. Finally, after five days of misery, she went to the hospital.
It turned out the source of her troubles were tapioca balls found in boba tea.
A LOT of them.
An x-ray showed the teen had more than 100 undigested tapioca pearls in her stomach.
Doctors say the little balls found in boba tea can be difficult to digest, especially in high numbers. In this case, the girl had downed way too many for her body to process, her doctor says.
She was sent home with some strong laxatives, which apparently did the trick.
