Mattel is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with two new iconic Barbie dolls.
The toy company shared two of their latest Barbie dolls inspired by the Cuban “Queen of Salsa," Celia Cruz and Julia Alvarez, a Dominican-American author and activist.
Celia's doll is draped in a gorgeous red lace dress with her hair in her signature updo.
The Alvarez doll is wearing a classic black dress with a long robe-style jacket that features beautiful butterflies. “Through their legendary careers and bravery in self-expression, these women continue to inspire generations of young Latinos to proudly tell their stories,” Barbie shared in an Instagram post.
