If you woke up to a significant loss in followers on Instagram or you received a suspension notification, you are not alone.
Instagram is aware of the issue and is investigating as some other issues include people receiving 'user not found' errors and being asked to provide feedback in order to log in.
The app has received thousands of complaints from users affected by the outage.
Instagram confirmed the issue on Twitter via a statement: “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.” Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri also confirmed that the social media platform was are of the issue and working to fix it.
Luckily, some accounts are back online and follower counts seem to be restored for several accounts.
