It was important to Disney that they cast someone with the necessary skills to play the role.
Liu, who is also known as Crystal Liu, has lots of experience with martial arts (she worked on The Forbidden Kingdom with Jackie Chan & Jet Li).
How excited are you to see Liu kill it as Mulan?!
